Epicure Insurance Brokers has outlined plans for wider services, more digital activity and greater collaboration as it marks ten years in business. BusinessDay’s October 30 report records remarks by the company’s leadership at an anniversary event in Lagos.

Managing director Oyinpreye Aigbogun described ambitions to integrate insurance into more areas of financial services and everyday business. Chairman Obinnia Abajue also emphasised relationships and trust. These are the company’s stated priorities, not an independently measured account of new coverage already delivered.

A broader distribution channel can make a service easier to encounter, but visibility and understanding are different. People still need clear information about what a policy covers, exclusions, costs and the process that applies when a claim is made.

Digitalisation has a practical service test. A customer should be able to find accurate documents, understand the status of a request and reach help when needed. Moving a process online does not automatically resolve unclear language or delays between the organisations involved.

The anniversary report also includes a client’s account of assistance with claims and business assets. That testimonial describes one person’s experience. It should not be treated as evidence that every policyholder will receive the same outcome under different terms or circumstances.

The next useful evidence would be specific service launches and clear explanations of how customers use them. The company has stated a direction for its next phase. This report describes that business strategy without recommending an insurance product or assuming that planned changes have already improved outcomes for all clients.
