Elizade University has published arrangements for its combined tenth and eleventh convocation in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State. Its notice dated 5 November puts the lecture on Thursday, 12 November, and the degree-awarding ceremony on Friday, 13 November. The surrounding programme runs from 6 to 15 November. These are announced plans, not a report that the ceremonies have already taken place.
Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun is scheduled to deliver the convocation lecture at the new Beatrice Ademolawe Ojo Auditorium. The university names Bashorun Sehinde Arogbofa as chair. For the following day, it lists first and postgraduate degrees, prizes and an honorary doctorate in Law for Justice Babatunde Adejumo, whom it identifies as Administrator of the National Judicial Institute.
The 13 November ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at Beatrice Ademolawe Ojo Hall. The notice says each graduating student is entitled to two invitation cards. Cards, academic robes and the programme booklet will be available on presentation of a receipt. It does not state a collection deadline or identify a new payment amount in that announcement.
Other activities include a 6 November press briefing and Jumat service, environmental activities and staff awards on 9 November, sports on 10 November and a convocation play on 11 November. The programme ends with a thanksgiving service at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Ilara-Mokin, on 15 November. The university’s public-relations head, Williams Olufunmi, signed the announcement.
What it means for you: graduates organising family travel should distinguish the lecture date from the degree ceremony, and account for the two-card allocation before promising guests entry. Confirm collection arrangements with the university and keep the required receipt available. A published programme does not itself resolve an individual student’s graduation eligibility, outstanding obligations or access arrangements for additional visitors.
Families should use the university’s current notice when checking dates and venues, and seek clarification before making payments or relying on an unofficial deadline. The announcement does not establish a remote viewing option or transport service, so neither should be assumed. Any later institutional changes could affect these plans. The photograph shows the university gate in 2021, rather than preparations or attendance at this year’s ceremony.
