Newly admitted students at Umaru Musa Yar’adua University in Katsina can start presenting their credentials for screening on Monday, 9 November. The registrar’s 3 November notice directs them to the Academic Division of the Registrar’s Office in the Senate Building. It covers the 2026/2027 intake at 100 level and new Direct Entry students at 200 level.
The first check can be done before making a trip. Candidates should find their names on the university’s admission list and check the programme against the one they applied for. Where the two differ, the university directs candidates to a JAMB office or an accredited computer-based testing centre to change their course choice to match the offer.
The guidance makes a distinction between uploading results and later accepting an offer from JAMB. For uploads of O’ Level results and, where relevant, A’ Level results, it specifies a JAMB office or an approved testing centre. It explicitly rules out using an ordinary internet café for this upload.
What to take depends partly on the route into university. UTME candidates need their JAMB result slip, while Direct Entry candidates need their DE slip. The checklist also includes the university admission letter, examination results and a way to verify O’ Level results. The detailed guidelines add the completed Form-01.
What it means for you. Read the session label before paying an acceptance fee. The notice is headed 2026/2027 but one payment instruction in the text refers to 2025/2026. The registrar gives no fee amount in the notice. Ask the Academic Division to clarify the session if the options you see do not match your offer.
The 9 November date is the start of document screening. Central registration is a later online step for candidates who pass verification and complete the preceding requirements. The university says it will announce that start date separately. Among the tasks at that stage are updating your profile, registering first-semester courses and printing your documents.
