Emirates has announced a staged expansion of Airbus A350 operations in Vietnam, with separate changes for Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The 28 October release sets 1 November for a second daily A350 service to Ho Chi Minh City and 1 December for A350 deployment on both daily Hanoi services.

The Ho Chi Minh City change applies to EK364 and EK365. In Hanoi, the affected flight pairs are EK394/395 and EK388/389. According to the airline's plan, all four daily services linking Dubai with those two cities will use the A350 by December. The two start dates should not be treated as interchangeable.

Emirates says the aircraft carries 298 passengers across Business, Premium Economy and Economy. Introducing it in Hanoi will also bring Premium Economy to that service. The announcement focuses on the aircraft and cabin offering; it does not provide an independently verified forecast of demand or the economic impact on either city.

For passengers making a connection in Dubai, greater consistency across these Vietnam flights may simplify comparisons. It still leaves another question: what aircraft and cabin operate the connecting sector? A familiar aircraft on one part of a journey does not establish the seating or service available throughout the whole booking.

The airline also places the change within a wider Vietnam network that includes Da Nang, where it launched operations last year. That context should not blur the scope of this release. The specified November and December A350 changes concern Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, with named flights and different implementation dates.

Travellers considering the new cabins can check the flight number, travel date and aircraft shown before selecting a fare. As of 30 October, both changes remain upcoming announcements. The useful development is the clearer deployment timetable, while actual operation and an individual passenger's itinerary remain matters to confirm close to travel.
